Volunteering with or becoming a member of Celbridge Community Council is a great way for Celbridge residents to increase their involvement in their own community. Celbridge Community Council supports and promotes many different community based activities. New members from many backgrounds and with many different skills are always welcome to participate in any way they can.
Volunteers and members who currently assist in our activities do so in a number of different ways including the following:
Assist us in running the Youth Café.
Facilitate fun activities for our young people.
Organise summer camps.
Administer Pobal’s Personal Alarm Scheme.
Carry out DIY jobs under Care and Repair Scheme.
Regularly visit older person under Befriending Scheme.
Deliver Meals on Wheels.
Analyse impact of proposed development on our community and heritage.
Contribute to submissions on development plans and transport initiatives.
Object to developments that may detrimentally impact our community.
Support developments that will benefit our community.
Assist with organising the parade
Act as steward to ensure the safety of attendees
Public Relations
Advise on marketing.
Manage website and social media channels.
Organise community events.
Contribute photographs or videos.
Other
Help organise events for the community.
Represent the community on Alcohol Oversight Group.
